Very useful in the mountains for reading maps

I have had my gold, prescription monocle with gold chain from Monocle Madness for around 6 months now and can honestly say this is an absolute thing of splendour! I have read books and perused the wine lists whilst fine dining with the Mrs in perfect clarity, but the highlight so far has to be the recent attendance at the Lincoln Steampunk Festival! This is my third monocle from MM. love them and I get a lot of compliments. It’s convenient for a night on the town when you don’t want to drag along readers.
It takes a little getting used to but works well and is so handy to have on a string around your neck whenever it is needed. I ordered it because Doctor said that I would not be able to wear glasses for a while due to skin problem, but I think that it might well stay with me after that is hopefully cleared up. The service from "Monocle Madness" was excellent and could not be faulted.

Wrongly ordered the large size at first and had trouble getting it to stay in, but it was changed to the 35mm it was much easier. A skin trouble means I may not be able to wear glasses for a while so the monocle will hopefully solve the problem to allow me to read and measure things. It is very convenient just to have it around your kneck ready for use when needed.
The transaction was smooth and I received my monocle in about 2 weeks. I am very satisfied!
I’ve always liked the old style monocle and now feel the right age to wear it. The hardest part is finding the right position for it on my face without screwing my face up to hold it and practice.
I really like it and hanging around my neck I always know where it is.

I've been wearing a monocle for years since I prefer it over readers. The US company I purchased from stopped selling the large 40mm size. I searched and found Monocle Madness and was a little hesitant since I've never ordered anything from the UK. The price even with shipping was very comparable and it only took 8 days to get here. The quality of the monocle is superb and I love the dark silver/gunmetal color. I also love and was impressed with the shoe polish tin it came in. I was so pleased, I ordered a back up with a chain the same day I received this! I'm extremely pleased and highly recommend Monocle Madness! Please keep selling the 40mm size for us larger guys. Very happy with this. Slight learning curve but a great substitute for readers
I am way cooler than I could ever be with binoculars for reading. I bought it because i couldn't read small letters on the product labels. Now i CANT WAIT for any small text so i can put my monocle and read it while feeling cool. Amazing!

Works better than I had hoped I wear contacts which are no good for reading. Now I put in the monocle and can read menus texts etc and looks stylish (I think!)
Well first what nice people to deal with,a little problem with Royal Mail and when I sent an email to this firm it was answered straight away they were willing to help no problem,and it was sorted out quickly, and I have to say i love this monocle it fits well,that's the 35mm with the gallery,and I use it every time I read and if anything ever happens to it I will have no problem returning to this firm for another one,a man who is well pleased, great firm.

Wear it all the time except in bed and bath! Wouldn’t be without it, particularly when map reading out and about.. Highly recommended
The quality appears to be very good. The fit doesn’t seem to be right, but the item is new and perhaps there is a learning curve to holding it in place. The cord delivered with it is comparatively heavy and pulls the monocle down. So the item seems quite good, but the use has been less successful.
Seams good just have to get use to it. No company like specsaver or optometry service don't do monicals in Australia that is can find. Anyway thanks for your email today 👍

Looks great (so I'm told) and works well (as got +1.5 to help reading menus/programs etc when out and about)....quicker, easier than getting specs out....looks better as well :) . Not sure if I got the right size (went for large 40mm) as a little tricky to keep in place (without 'squinting' a little). Shame you can't try before you buy eg blank frames ahead of confirming correct size...wouldn't mind paying shipping costs as end up cheaper than 'swapping'/Changing... Overall, very happy....
Sadly it is too big for my rather small eye socket, even though I requested your smallest. have tried everyway to get it to stay in place but it just falls off. The product and presentation is excellent, but as opened I cannot exchange it - sadly and you do not have a smaller size.
